Turkey is over 3times the size of the UK, and yet every one of Turkey’s most popular holiday resorts lie in a 300 mile arc stretching from Izmir on the Aegean west coast to Antalya on the Mediterranean. Turkey is an ancient civilisation and all along the coast are wonderful ruins and archaeological sites. You can find the wonderful Roman Library and baths in Ephesus, which is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Or go to Dalyan and see the ancient rock tombs carved out of sheer cliffs, not interested in the history? Why not try, a Turkish night to enjoy traditional Turkish entertainment including fabulous belly and traditional dancers along with astonishing fire eating, or take a Turkish bath to see how the locals ease the stress of everyday life.
Sarigerme is a small town located in the south western region of Turkey just 15 km from Dalaman, with its new International Airport, it is ideally situated; 55 km from Fethiye; 80 km from Marmaris; and 25 km from Dalyan. Sarigerme is ideally located in the middle of this popular holiday region and has been chosen for Turkeys largest and best golfing centre with the construction of a new Hilton hotel and ajoining 18-hole golf course. The Carmen La Pizza is more of a fast food restaurant and sells mainly pizzas and burgers etc. This is where you find the take-away service. They also have a pool for customers use and a lovely hidden beer garden. The Dolphin restaurant is the largest restaurant and again does a mix of English and Turkish breakfast and is more of the place to go if you want a bit of romance, as it is big enough to be quiet and special, even if there are quite a few people in. Further up you can find restaurants such as Mr. Remos, the Cardinal and the Paradise all of which are reasonably priced and in the quieter end of the village. There is a tattoo parlor, a specialist coffee house and a trendy more 'European' style coffee bar.
